Situated on a very strategic point, for more then 50 years, you can find the IDC on the famous “Damascus international road”.

In Hazmieh, not very far from the Presidential Palace of Baabda, who for a number of years, was a major client of the IDC, afterwards it became a reference for the rest of the clients; Like ministers, deputy and high ranking personalities from the political world as also clients from the world of fashion and modeling.

Close to the residential cities areas of Yarze, Baabda, Brasilia, and Sin el Fil,  at 7 minutes from downtown Beirut with easy access to Tripoli and Saida highways.

Since the year 1973, the new owners of the IDC are Mr. Jean Barakat and Miss Josephine Salem.

Miss Salem, was an ex employee of the “PRIMO” Dry Cleaner a well known dry cleaner in Beirut, before the Lebanese events of 1975, she had acquire her professional experience there, details of the cleaning well done, management and client services.

Mr. Jean Barakat, technician in the mechanical and sanitary field is responsible for the smooth running of all the machineries at the laundry. He is also responsible for human resources (employees of the laundry) and he is also in charge of the cleaning teams for delivery services, like cleaning carpets for office’s or house furniture’s and villas.

This successful twosome Barakat-Salem not only manage the IDC but they follow meticulously the complete process of the dry clean , from the reception of your clothe, by checking the spots, the type of tissue and to give the right instruction for every particular tissue ( detach, dry clean etc…).

These procedures, gave the IDC throughout the years, an unquestionable trust by the clients, they are the ones that can give to your cloth its original appearance without any harm to the tissue. 

The tradition that acquired the IDC during 50 years of its existence is maintained despite the turmoil that Lebanon was in for several years of war. The IDC also paid its tribute to that war, by being robed and sacked several time throughout these events.

Never the less the courage and the will of its owners and the fidelity of theirs customers enabled them to keep on the track and overpass these bad days.
