We carefully inspect and prepare your clothes before cleaning. We check for spots, age, wear areas, any and all needed repairs; loose buttons or beads, open seams, tears, damaged zippers, etc., anything that should be fixed. Beads and other trims are tested for “clean-ability”.
Some things should be done before cleaning, like removing or reinforcing & covering buttons, so they don't become damaged during cleaning. Your clothes is then professionally spotted and skillfully hand finished. Any other finishing touches, like re-sewing buttons or trims, more repairs are done at this time.
Spot treatments is the specialty of the dry cleaner professional and his staff, before putting your clothes in the dry Cleaning machine, Many products are used each product for specific item (wine spots, oil, blood, fruits…) and every tissue has its own product (silk, leather, deer…).
B- The second step is the Dry Clean washing machine
Tissues receive a treatment with a product based on “Perchlorethylene” in steam washing machines and not in traditional washing machines you find in laundry shops, where by, tissues receive a double process of, cleaning and disinfection of the tissue.
C- The third step is steam ironing
The clothes are steam ironed on presses or valet presses for ladies suits and wedding suits and not traditionally ironed. This process keeps the tissue free from contact of metals and maintains its life longer.
Steam ironing by presses is the last process of the Dry Clean
Two type of cleaners or How to choose your Dry Cleaner.
Usually it take you one to two tries to find your “DRY CLEANER”, it is therefore best to know these basic notions that will be useful to you and will help you find your way around.
1) The economic service (usually called “standard” or “quick” service). It’s the most common. Clothes are soaked up with solvent, dried up, (this way the solvent evaporates not leaving any smell) then it is mechanically ironed. This cleaning procedure doesn’t remove all steins. It is efficient for heavy spots like (butter, oil and dirty grease) but it’s inefficient on low steins like (wine, coffee, blood, perspiration, etc...) worse these spots become indelible.
2) The "IDC" service or high quality service finally also called (tradition , deluxe , or old traditional dry cleaner service) consists of ; a specialized detach manually done, spot by spot this way the steins are pretreated according to the nature of the stein and the nature of the tissue with adequate detach product, before putting it in the dry cleaning machine. Then comes the ironing process, is a steam process with a finishing touch that gives the requested result, double cleaning quality control supervising the rim are sewed if necessary etc...

Dry Cleaning:
Garments are separated according to fabric type, color. It takes an experienced and skilled spotter to know what spots can be safely removed, and how best to do it. The key word is “safely”!
What's the point of having a spot removed if the color is removed too or the chemical causes a hole and ruins the garment?
Our expert spotter at the “I.D.C Dry Cleaners” removes spots safely because he knows what to use, how to use it, and when to stop (before any damage is done). He has dozens of chemicals and tools at his disposal and decades of experience. His favorite assurance is: "If it can come out (safely), I'll get it out!"
He cleans each garment according to its specified care instruction, and of course, when certain items such as a beaded evening gown, an angora sweater, or jacket with leather trim. Require individualized special care and handling, it is treated as such.
Finishing Touches and quality control inspection:
Different fabrics are handled differently, and the pressing of fine garments also requires special, expert care. Our knowledgeable and experienced pressers carefully hand finishes your clothes according to their special needs to restore their original shape and appearance. Sizing and other finished are re-applied when necessary or as requested.
Some fabrics, like linen or cotton, usually require more heat and pressure for a nice, crisp finish, while fine wools and wool blends require a soft press to avoid a shiny finish.
As with all our dry cleaning services, “IDC” finishing and quality control is expertly done with special attention to different types of garments.
We package your garment so it can stay clean and pressed and fresh! ^
